Berty Jane Hoover Skellenger, 94, of Mayodan, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at North Pointe of Mayodan. There will be no formal service. Berty was born on December 5, 1927 in Kansas to the late Fred and Ethel Warbritton Hoover. She moved to Mayodan in 1976 and obtained her associates degree in computer programming from Guilford Technical Community College. She retired from Boren Brick in Pleasant Garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Grant Skellenger; and her sister, Lucy Morris. She is survived by her sons, Leo Grant Skellenger II of McLeansville and Fred Charles Skellenger of Mayodan; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
