Dennis Keith Broy, 71, passed away, September 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A 6:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Ray Funeral Home. Military honors will be provided by the Rockingham County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Home pandemic guidelines will apply. A Clark County, Indiana native, Dennis was born on March 11, 1949, to Rudolph and Inez Asher Broy. He was a graduate of Jeffersonville Highschool. Dennis proudly served the United States, serving in the United States Marines and Army National Guard. He was a combat Veteran in Vietnam. He retired from ITG Tobacco and loved playing golf. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Cockeril Fulp; and his sister, Selena Cato. He is survived by his mother, Inez Asher Broy; his wife and caregiver, Diana Sue Carroll Broy; children, Thomas Broy (Christa), Abby Shaffer (Frank), and Dee-Dee Martin; his brothers, Dicky Broy (Mary), Alan Broy, John Broy, and Frank Broy; his sisters, Marylin Carver (David), Debbie McGlone (Mac), and Gail Bailey (Randy); grandchildren, Megan Reynolds (Chris), Nathan Watkins, Lesley Gleiser (Scott), Samantha Mull, McKinley Ellison, Sammie Shaffer, and Elisabeth Beebe (Steven); and one great-grandchild, Kai Oliver Watkins; special friends, Leon and Carol Williams; and his dog, “Tickles”. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of Hospice of Rockingham County for the care shown to Dennis.
