Emma Ruth Watson Craddock

Emma Ruth Watson Craddock, 94, passed away on Sunday, January 9, at Moses Cone Hospital after complications from a fall. A graveside service will be held at l0:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, at Mayodan Municipal Cemetery, with Rev. Thane Barnes officiating. Visitation will be immediately after the service at Ray Funeral Home. Ruth was the youngest of six children, born to Alonzo Lee Watson and Meddie Fulton Watson. She was born November 29, 1927 in Mayodan. Ruth was a home daycare provider and later worked for over 20 years at Gem-Dandy Accessories in Madison. She was a devoted and generous mother, an avid reader and an animal lover. Ruth was a Christian and a loyal friend to many. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Beth Craddock (Joe Gorin) and Sue Miller; grandchildren, Heather Long (Todd), Emma Gorin and Paul Gorin; and great grandson, Hunter Long, as well as nieces and nephews.
