Karen Annette Cockeril Fulp, 54, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital. A 6:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Carter officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service beginning at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Karen was born on April 30, 1965 to Lloyd Cockeril, Jr. and Diana Carroll Broy. She was of the Baptist faith and worked at the Airport Drive-In. She was a beloved mother, sister, daughter, and aunt. She loved spending time with her family. She was very genuine, funny, selfless, and was dedicated in all she did. Even after death, through organ donation, she gave the gift of life to others. Karen was preceded in death by her step-mother, Doris Cockeril. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her step-father, Dennis Broy; her daughter, Megan Reynolds (Chris) of Greensboro; her sisters, Sherry Smith (Sonny) of Kentucky, Robin Jackson of Kentucky, Abby Shaffer (Frank) of Mayodan, and Dee-Dee Martin of Stoneville; her brother, Tommy Broy (Christa) of Madison; her grand-dog, Ollie; her faithful companions, Marley and Tickles; nieces, Lesley (Scott), Grayce, and Sammie; nephew, Nathan; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ray Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
