Kevin Michael Austin, 49, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at his home. A 2:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Ray Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Kevin was born in Rockingham County on November 28, 1972, to Carles Austin and Robin Angle Norwood. He was a good-natured person who always enjoyed being around people. He enjoyed working, playing cards, and enjoyed all sports, especially the UNC Tar Heels. He also enjoyed going to Vegas. He was preceded in death by his father, Carles Austin. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Robin Angle Norwood of the home; his brother, Carles Jeffrey Austin (Eva) of Madison; his stepfather, Wayne Norwood of Madison; his nephew, Ryan Austin of Madison; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
