Richard Leo Fontaine Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard Leo Fontaine, 82, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his home. An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at True Gospel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mike Manuel officiating. Those wishing to pay their respects and sign the register book can do so on Sunday and Monday, January 2nd and 3rd from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home. Richard was born in Vermont on December 15, 1939, to the late Denzel and Grace Fontaine. He was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church. Richard enjoyed watching football, college basketball, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. One of his greatest passions was his cat, Prissy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jody Belton Fontaine, and his brother, Rick Fontaine. Richard is survived by his children, Tony, Shelly, Rene, Richard, Jr., Randy, and Robin; his stepchildren, Robin, Art, Lorri, and Ginger Amos; his sister, Nancy Archbald; his brother, Russell Fontaine; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
